E3 2011: That's All Folks!

The doors have officially closed on another E3.

E3 2011 has now officially ended and as thousands of people depart from LA back to their day jobs the date for next year's E3 has been set as June 5th - 7th 2012. While some news and media will continue to trickle through we have now put the peak of the conference behind us.

This year saw a lot of focus on Nintendo as they announced their new Wii U console as well as showing off a host of 3DS games and outlining plans for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Zelda.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has visited, commented and supported us during E3. It has been, and always is, a crazy time for the industry as so much is announced in just a short space of time. Our visitor numbers tripled the usual figure on Tuesday and have remained high for the last few days so I would like to thank all of you for visiting us and we hope you stick around. Please do sign up for the comments system and our forum to discuss all things Nintendo.

Finally I would like to thank all the staff for their tireless work. They have dedicated a lot of effort and time (and importantly sleep hours) to cover the event that takes place largely during the early hours for us. Over the last few days we have submitted nearly 150 news articles and I am proud to be in charge of such a dedicated and committed team.

Please feel free to share your E3 2011 highlights with us in the comments section below and once again thank you for reading!
