EA announces new titles for the Nintendo Switch

Around midnight EA held their annual event EA Play, the moment where they show what is in the pipelines for the upcoming period. It included some heavy hitters for the upcoming generation of consoles such as a new SkateStar Wars: Squadrons and the new co-op shooter Rocket Arena.

And although these titles are not (yet) coming to the Switch, EA showed a bunch of games that are Switch-bound. The biggest announcement is that Apex Legends, the battle royale game by Respawn is coming this fall. Apex Legends is set in the same fictional universe as Respawn's Titanfall series.

FIFA 21 is also heading for the Nintendo Switch, but sadly this is another Legacy Edition. This means that you don't have to expect major changes or upgrades, as it is an improved version of FIFA 20 Legacy Edition with the new players and shirts matching the new season. Fifa 21 is arriving October 9th.

EA Originals is the indie game label from the publisher, and on that label Zoink will release Lost In Random. In this game the girl Even and her dice sidekick Dicey team up to break a curse that is holding the kingdom of Random in its grasp. Zoink is known from titles such as Stick it to the Man and Flipping Death. Not much more is known, but the trailer suggests the game plays as an action-adventure and looks like a Tim Burton movie.

You can find the trailers for the announced Switch games, as well as the full EA Play Live 2020 event, below to watch.
