Only days before the console's launch, and still more info keeps coming in. Today brings good news with some extra titles added to the launch roster. However, Nintendo also officially confirmed that the Virtual Console service will not be available at launch.
On February 28 (5 PM UK time/6 PM Europe time) Nintendo will present a Nindies showcase video with more information about upcoming indie titles for the Switch. They confirmed that we can expect about 60 indie titles for the eShop this year.
At launch two new indie titles are available: the fast-paced racer FAST RMX and indie hit Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove (with the newest add-on Specter Of Torment as a timed exclusive).
The Virtual Console (which lets you play games from previous console generations) will not be available at launch unfortunately. In an official statement Nintendo announced that the service will not be available at launch, and they will share more information in the future.
Finally it has been confirmed that your eShop funds which you may still have on your 3DS or WiiU will be useable on the Switch. In order to do so you need to link your Nintendo Network ID to your Nintendo account, and then use that Nintendo account on your Nintendo Switch.
