Capcom has released a new trailer for its anime-styled third-person shooter EX Troopers.

The game was a surprise announcement from the company - a heavily stylised spin-off to its gritty HD shooter Lost Planet, heading to both 3DS and PS3. The plot is similarly lightly-toned, following a group of youngsters as they complete their studies on the planet of E.D.N. III.

EX Troopers is scheduled to release in Japan in 2012. No date for western territories has been confirmed.
