Final Fantasy VII Version 1.0.1 is out now

While the release of Final Fantasy VII and other titles in the series on the Switch is certainly something to celebrate, especially considering that many Nintendo console owners won't have experienced them until now, there have been a few technical issues with these releases, particularly when it comes to the seventh and ninth numbered entries.
Until very recently there had been a rather big audio bug relating to music playback in certain locations and unusually long transitions between battle encounters.
It seems that the latest Version 1.0.1 patch has now fixed both of these issues which will surely be a relief to anyone who has either already purchased the game or has perhaps been holding off until the game is deemed to be in a more stable condition.
This is definitely good news, however some of us Switch owners won't be completely satisfied until the game and other digital only entries get a physical release I reckon, by which point if that happens I would suspect that Final Fantasy would be running the best it has in a long time.
However you choose to play Final Fantasy VII though, I just hope that you get to enjoy it as it's certainly still considered to be one of those all-time classics which is worthy of your time.
Are you currently playing FFVII on the Switch? Does news of this update change your stance on it? Or have you played it before many years ago in its original form?
