As we haven't had a good, old-fashioned, heart-breaking delay for a while, Nintendo has kindly provided two. Last night's Nintendo Direct confirmed that neither Fire Emblem or Animal Crossing for 3DS will ship to Europe in 2012.

Instead, both games were pledged to be arriving in the first half of 2013.

No reason was given for the delays, but given all the other localisation announcements, perhaps Nintendo of Europe is simply far too stretched to get them out this year.
