Nintendo has announced that Fire Emblem Fates will release in Europe in early 2016.

The 3DS strategy RPG, following on the heels of the hugely successful Fire Emblem Awakening, is set in an all-new world with a brand new cast of characters. You, the player, will take on the role of the prince or princess of the peaceful Hoshido kingdom, raised by the royal family of the glory-seeking Nohr.

It will be up to you to choose which side you fight for, as both paths offer very different experiences.

The press materials from Nintendo suggest that the game will get two different retail releases, one putting you on the Hoshido path, and the other on the darker, more challenging Nohr path. This is already confirmed to be how the game will be launched in Japan later this month.
