Barbie joins the next generation when she embarks on a time-travelling journey in Barbie Time Traveller for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube video game systems. In search of lost treasure, this all-new quest takes girls through Ancient, Royal Times and Future time periods, as players help collect mystical artifacts, magical energy gems and jewelled crests to open secret passageways that help Barbie find her way home. Designed for girls six and older, Barbie Time Traveller is released this November by Vivendi Universal Publishing Kids Division.
Girls will be able to control super-cool actions and exciting feats for Barbie including mid-air somersaults, cartwheel flips, diving and swimming under water, and super strength to pull and push heavy objects. Additionally, Barbie gains magic powers to melt and freeze objects, unlock futuristic force fields, reveal paths and objects hidden in darkened areas, and more! Encountering a variety of fantastical characters through Barbie's time-travelling adventures, the final challenge in each time period is to help someone in need including a mermaid, a unicorn and a pretty female robot.
Three distinct time periods challenge girls with new mysteries and adventures:
In the Ancient Times of magnificent temples and chariots, Barbie explores a seaside Mediterranean town and its caves, paths, lagoons and lighthouses. Barbie even rides a dolphin!
The dense forest environment of the Royal Times sends Barbie trekking through the rocky terrain of mountain paths, over rope bridges and treetops, through a medieval castle and village, and sledding on an ice track.
A futuristic theme park, complete with robots, droids, turbo lifts, hover-way rides, anti-gravity mats, dancing water gardens and greenhouses, offers Barbie a thrilling adventure in the Future Times.
