Another reveal from the recent IGN event, IGN Fan Fest, is G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra!

G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra seems to pay homage to the retro roots of the titular hero with this 90’s-style 2D side-scrolling beat ‘em up, with inspiration clearly coming from videogame juggernauts such as TMNT: Turtles in Time, The Simpsons Arcade Game and Streets of Rage, to name a few.

In a similar vein to the recently released and well received TMNT: Shredders’ Revenge, G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra boasts the audio and aesthetics of those 90’s classics but with a few modern conveniences, such as the ability for any number of characters on screen, online features and animated cutscenes.

There’s no word of an official release date yet, but it can’t be far off, so keep your eyes on N-Europe as we’ll let you know when G.I. Joe is ready for ‘yo on ol’ Nintendo.
