The latest Nintendo Switch Online update is here for Expansion Pack members! This July update boasts three new titles on the GBA NSO app, all of them starring the adorable Starfy!

The three Starfy entries were previously only released in Japan, but you may recognise the adorable little thing from their cameos in Smash Bros.

Dive into a trio of colourful action games starring Starfy, the legendary star-shaped hero, in Densetsu no Starfy, Densetsu no Starfy 2 and Densetsu no Starfy 3. Previously only available in Japan, these titles are joining the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online library, and are available for all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members to play starting today!

Densetsu no Starfy launched on the GBA in 2002, and as the first adventure for the titular hero, you’ll be traversing the 2D side-scroller with a range of abilities like your Star Spin, while also gliding on balloons and tunnelling through the ground with the mole tank.

Starfy 2 launched a year later, in 2003, offering similar gameplay, as the ruffian from the first title, Ogura, is back to seek vengeance!

Starfy 3 rounds off the trilogy, launching in 2004, and offers more charming 2D action, as you make your way through the various stages with what are now a bunch of familiar friends and faces!
