Games Day: Metroid Impressions

You are not going to believe what I did last wednesday at the Nintendo Games Day in the Netherlands. I played Metroid, using the wavebird, on a huge screen hanging on the wall. It was awesome!
I have seen all the screens and movies of this game, but none of them even came close to the real thing. I think playing Metro on that screen was one of my best gaming experiences so far...
The graphics of the game are amazing. There are many graphical details such as the electric sparkles and dead aliens laying around, which really make Metroid a must for your eyes. This combined with the high frame-rate will make this 1st person shooter the best one out there on the video games market. At least that is what I think.
The gameplay will definately also make you wet your pants - yeah, you keep getting wet while plaing this game - The easy configured controls make you slide through the levels like it is actually you in that suit walking there and shooting those darn aliens.
Metroid Prime is still under development and will be released in Janaury 2003 in Europe. We were even told at the GamesDay that the game might even have a December release. Let's hope it is December! Get this game!
We will soon have a full preview on this game at GameCube Europe.
