Happy MAR10 Day from N-Europe

March 10th has been celebrated as MAR10 Day for a while now and while any day is good to enjoy a game in the Mario series, it does seem like a good time to reflect on the Mario games which we have.

Here's a list of some of our favourite Mario games which have reviewed favourably over the years and are still very much worth playing today...

Quite a list of Mario titles, we think you'll agree and each review is well worth checking out either for pure nostalgic reasons or just to see how unique some of our past reviews have been on N-Europe over the years. (I certainly enjoyed going through our review back-catalogue)

What's that I hear you cry? Where are the reviews of all the really old Mario games? Well, if you insist... it's time to trawl through some old editons of VC Weekly, N-Europe's guide to the wonderful world of Nintendo's now almost all but forgotten download service which spanned from the Wii era, to the 3DS and even the Wii U.

Here's a list of all the editions containing Mario games we could find...

That's quite a few Mario game reviews and this list is by no means exhaustive, just what we managed to dig up at relatively short notice; well worth having a read if there's a Mario title which you've been curious about over the years.

But wait, there's more, because as N-Europe has become more active on YouTube thanks to the regular N-E Café Podcast, here are a selection of Mario focused episodes, and some highlights from Old Nintendo Gamer & Son...

Also, a reminder that Nintendo will be removing both Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. 35 from the Nintendo Switch eShop on March 31, 2021. We'll have more Mario reviews up on N-Europe soon, probably around the time when Nintendo decides to stop holding their own Mario games to ransom, likely re-releasing them separately in the future so that more people can have the chance to buy them. (Just a guess, as this isn't confirmed)

But at least both Paper Mario: The Origami King, and Super Mario Maker 2 will be 35% cheaper on the Switch eShop from tomorrow... So Nintendo are still sort of celebrating, in their own way.

Did you do anything to celebrate MAR10 Day? Is there a favourite Mario game which you keep coming back to? Or perhaps there are classics which you've been wanting to play but maybe haven't got around to?
