Harada finds the Wii U GamePad a distraction

Namco's Katsuhiro Harada has recently stated that the Wii U's touchscreen GamePad doesn't work well with fighting games and instead of adding to the experience it actually just causes a distraction.
Harada believes that fighting games are tense experiences that need to have your full attention to pull off the right combos and throw in the final blow. With that in mind, he's stated that they will most likely not use the touchscreen for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. As an alternative, Harada has stated that they may implement "shortcuts" into gameplay so that the gamer can still use the touchscreen but won't have to concentrate on both the screens at the same time.
These aren't the only problems that Harada and his team have faced with the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, earlier today he stated that they had to be 'creative' in achieveing their goal as the Wii U processing speed is quite low.
Once work is finished on Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Namco will start their collaboration with Nintendo on the new Smash Bros. title set to hit the 3DS and Wii U.
