Shinesparkers, responsible for the fantastic Harmony of a Hunter albums, have announced their latest project - Harmony of Heroes!
Harmony of Heroes is a fan album that celebrates the Super Smash Bros. series, so there's no limit to the many Nintendo franchises and themes that will appear.
This project builds on the success of Harmony of a Hunter, and now that it is not confined to the Metroid universe, is set to be even more diverse.
When deciding on their next project the team wanted a different focus, but still wanted to appeal to the dedicated fans of their previous work. They identified that Metroid fans were also big fans of other Nintendo franchises, especially Smash Bros., and thanks to Samus' appearance in the series, you can still look forward to some Metroid melodies in the new album.
Here's the official word from album director, Darren Kerwin:
"Harmony of Heroes will focus on music from all three Super Smash Bros. games and feature some of the most cherished and loved franchises in Nintendo history, including Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Kirby and Pokémon. We also want to assure people that the Metroid franchise will be suitably represented in Harmony of Heroes.
I can confirm that some musicians from our previous projects will be contributing music to this album, as well as brand new musicians hoping to make their debut for the first time. Harmony of Heroes will be assisted by Pyro Paper Planes and Buoy, two musicians from Harmony of a Hunter. Both of them have been a huge and essential support to the project so far, offering some great advice and suggestions to make this album something incredibly special. You will be hearing more from them during the development of this project. We are also thankful to Sam Dillard for creating and scoring our announcement trailer."
Harmony of Heroes is set to be unleashed in 2014 as a free digital release on the Shinesparkers website. Scroll down to see the official trailer for the album.
