Host of eShop games confirmed at GDC - trailers inside

Fresh from the Game Developer's Conference comes news that a barrage of eShop treats from indie deveopers and Nintendo alike will be bolstering the release lists of Wii U and 3DS this year.

With a few new reveals joining some already-announced titles, Nintendo confirmed the eShop release list for the rest of the year as it currently stands. It's for North America, but we're encouraged nonetheless that all these titles will be releasing in the west.

The new games include Wii U versions of the survival-roguelike Don't Starve, and the weird adventure title Octodad: Dadliest Catch. There's also Upper One Games's stylish, plot-driven platformer Never Alone.

There are some lovely-looking games that we already knew were coming at some point too. One highlight is the utterly charming Affordable Space Adventures from Nicklas Nygren, of Knytt and Night Sky fame.

There's also Wii U exclusive Runbow - the colourful party game from Toronto-based 13AM Games, which boasts the novel quirk of featuring 9-player local multiplayer.

3DS shouldn't be overlooked, though. Not only is there a new Dementium title from one our favourite Nintendo-allied indie studios in Renegade Kid, there's also a surprise localisation for HAL Laboratory's minimalist puzzle title BOXBOY!
