Inazuma Eleven GO! Shoots for Europe this June!

Ten years after Mark Evans and his Inazuma National teammates left their legacy behind in Inazuma Eleven 3; we join Arion Sherwind in his attempt to follow in the footsteps of previous Raimon legends in the upcoming game Inazuma Eleven GO!.

It's the fourth main series game in the Inazuma Eleven franchise and was originally released back in December 2011 in Japan on the Nintendo 3DS. It was the first time that the main series arrived on the 3DS as well. The game will be coming to Europe in two versions. Inazuma Eleven GO: Light & Inazuma Eleven GO: Shadow.

Set ten years after the events of Inazuma Eleven 3, both Inazuma Eleven GO: Light and Inazuma Eleven GO: Shadow storylines kick off the tale of the young but talented Arion Sherwind as he begins his football career during hard times for Raimon Junior High. While Sherwind’s initial goal is simply to break into a formidable first team captained by the virtuoso player, Riccardo Di Rigo, bigger problems soon come to pass when the whole team is threatened with closure on the orders of Fifth Sector, a shadowy football governing body intent on controlling the ‘beautiful game’. With Raimon in disarray, and a mysterious new player named Victor Blade causing unrest in the team, don’t be surprised to see a certain legendary goalie turning up to become the new coach in the team’s time of need…

Offering a unique formula of RPG elements combined with football-based action, this brand new chapter in the Inazuma Eleven series revamps the look of Raimon Junior High and surrounding landmarks using enhanced 3D visuals that bring the world of Inazuma to life like never before. On the pitch, meanwhile, a new Fighting Spirit mechanic can be used by key characters in the game, enabling players such as Arion Sherwind to summon a powerful force that can provide a skill boost or unique new Special Move.

In this new Inazuma Eleven instalment, encounter over 1000 players to recruit for your starting line-up and discover over 100 in-game special moves to unleash, with certain characters and special moves exclusive to each version of the game. In addition, each game offers exclusive Fighting Spirits and Special Tactics to use on the pitch, as well as presenting alternative storylines for legendary figures familiar to fans of the series.

As the story progresses, while new players can join your roster after victories on the field, players can now also be recruited using PalPack cards, which can be obtained in-game and allow certain characters to be unlocked once specific conditions in-game are met. Alternatively, new characters, special moves and Fighting Spirits will become available to receive via the internet after launch. With further game features such as Local Play functionality allowing up to four players to compete together, and StreetPass Challenges which allow fellow players to exchange information and take on each other’s teams, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to get to know your strongest line-up!

Inazuma Eleven GO: Light & Inazuma Eleven GO: Shadow blast their way to the Nintendo 3DS on the 13th of June 2014.
