Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series, sat down with GameSpot during last month's E3 to discuss his projects, Metal Gear and his desire to innovate. The interview is both interesting and informative, be sure to check it out here. You can also download the interview in audio form via the web page. You can view a taster of the interview below.
GS: Speaking about Twin Snakes for a moment, is this a product that would be best suited for fans of the original Metal Gear Solid, or is it best for those who aren't experienced with the series? Who is the target audience?
HK: It will be for both. Obviously for those who have never played the original game, it's totally new. And for those who have played it, they'll be playing MGS 1 with game mechanics like action, and the game system of MGS 2, so there will be different moves and enemy AI and all of that.

Ben: That truly is an interesting read. Kojima is miles ahead of other designers in terms of innovation. Boktai is truly unique. It is a GBA title which utilises a light-sensitive panel on the cart, and requires sunlight to work. Amazing. Truly Amazing.
