The developer of games such as Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior, 3D Realms, has announced that they will bring Ion Maiden over to the Switch, in collaboration with 1C Entertainment.

The game is based on the original BUILD engine, which means it will look like a true FPS blast from the past. The engine has been upgraded with modern features though, allowing gameplay elements like headshots and smooth level transitions.

Ion Maiden will launch in Q2 2019, both physical and digital. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
