Not content with taking the gaming world by storm last week with the reveal of the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo is also looking to treat Monster Hunter fans.

The popular series is getting its own Japanese Nintendo Direct on Thursday October 27th at 20:00 in Japan (12:00 UK time / 13:00 CET).

There are currently no Monster Hunter games outstanding in Japan, so we might well see a brand new game.  As Nintendo has said we won't hear any more Switch news until next year, it seems likely that it will be Nintendo 3DS related but we'll just have to wait and see!

The European and American companies have not announced the same Direct at the time of writing, so it looks like for the time being it is just going to be in Japanese.  The Direct can be watched on the official website.
