Japanese Nintendo Direct to detail Wii U launch info tomorrow

It has been confirmed that a Japanese Nintendo Direct conference will be aired tomorrow to divulge launch details of the Wii U system.

It means that launch details for North America, Europe, and Japan are all expected to be revealed tomorrow.

The Japanese Nintendo Direct is due to go out at 4pm local time. That's many hours before the respected European and North American events, but if you want to watch it, you can do so here at 8am UK time/9am CET tomorrow.

As a semi-related aside, blogger Anoop Gantayat has recently announced he is closing his popular site Andriasang.com to pursue other ventures. Andriasang was a god-send for English-language sites when it came to Japanese gaming announcements, and its live-blogging helped us through many of Iwata's Nintendo Directs. As such, it may take us all a bit longer than usual to establish what exactly is announced tomorrow morning, but we all wish Anoop the very best for the future and thank him for his good-humoured and tireless reporting over the years.

Whatever goes down tomorrow morning, the big one for us Europeans is our own Nintendo Direct 'Wii U Preview', which will be hosted tomorrow by NOE president Satoru Shibata. That commences at 3pm UK time/4pm CET, and can be viewed here.

We'll have all the key launch information as it breaks.
