Nintendo of Europe has announced that Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush will finally launch on May 8th, making the month a particularly busy one for Nintendo fans.

The stylish Wii U platformer has already been launched in Japan and North America - under the title Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - and it was expected that we'd have to wait until the second half of 2015 to see the game.

But the confirmation of a May release puts the game alongside some other big hitters. Intelligent Systems's 3DS strategy title Code Name STEAM will launch a week later, and Nintendo's Wii U shooter Splatoon has already been announced for a worldwide May launch.
