Last week we posted a teaser trailer for the upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and that news came just after the new videogame reveal of Sonic X Shadow Generations – Now we have even more Sonic goodness as Knuckles receives his own spin-off show which takes place in the Paramount movie universe!

Knuckles sees the titular echidna team up with sidekick cop Wade, as they traverse the dangers of being hunted down by Eggman’s minions in Green Hills.

Knuckles features a bunch of returning cast and characters from the first two movies including Sonic, Tails and Maddie!

The new live-action series will follow Knuckles (Idris Elba) on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade (Adam Pally) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. The series takes place between the films SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 and SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3.

Stream Knuckles April 26, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada.

The series will stream on April 27 in all additional Paramount+ territories, and in Japan later in the year.

It’s important to add that Paramount+ is available in the UK via Amazon Prime, though previous exclusives, like Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog movies, have appeared elsewhere too, such as Now TV and Netflix, so we’ll keep you posted if Knuckles does appear on other streaming platforms as well as the aforementioned Paramount+.
