Level-5's Fantasy Life sees sustained success to pass 200k, Animal Crossing stays top

The latest Media Create charts from Japan are out, showing something of an unlikely success story. One might have thought that Level-5's life-sim-RPG hybrid would be doomed to exist in the shadow of Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Leaf having released close to that behemoth, but the 3DS title has enjoyed a very healthy boom in recent weeks.
Having gone largely out of stock for several weeks shortly after its launch, it would have been reasonable to assume its commercial prospects were exhausted, but having eventually had its stock replenished, Fantasy Life has surprisingly shot straight back up the chart in the last couple of weeks. After re-entering the table last week, it now occupies the number two spot, and has passed 200,000 units sold.
There is no confirmation of a western release as of yet, but the game's decent run at home will surely not hurt its localisation chances.
Here's the software chart for the week of January 28th to February 3rd.

On the hardware side of things, things remain largely flat. Wii U just about remains in the third spot, but it's not clear whether it will eventually drop behind the ageing PSP, or more embarrassingly, PS Vita.
