Super Mario Odyssey has received its first game play update, with Luigi's Balloon World added in for extra speed running fun.

Initially announced during the Nintendo Direct Mini in January, Luigi pops up and "invites you to play a game" before locking you in a derilict building with ten other characters and asking to solve...wait, wrong press release. Luigi asks you to hide balloons around a level, and then tasks others to find them via online play, and vice versa, in "Hide It" and "Find it" modes.

Also added are new costumes for Mario and two new snap shot filters as well.

Although the announcements have come from the American and Australian official Twitter accounts at the moment, I can confirm from my UK Switch that the download is ready and waiting for you.
