Many EA games will not make their way to Wii U

In a devastating blow to Wii U, EA aren't going to release some of their biggest titles for the console due to the problems they've had getting DICE's Frostbite Engine 3 to work on the system.
Many titles such as Dragon Age, Need For Speed and Mass Effect are to use this engine, meaning they won't appear on Wii U. Sadly, this also means that future Star Wars games may not appear on the system either, after EA were announced to be developing future titles in that series.
DICE technical director, Johan Andersson took to Twitter to explain that Frostbite 2 wasn't running well on Wii U, so they decided against trying to get Frostbite 3 on the system.
FBC has never been running on Wii U. We did some tests with not too promising results with FB2 and chose not to go down that path.
Stefan Boberg, Frostbite technical director, claimed that 15 games are currently in development at EA using the Frostbite 3 engine, including the as-of-yet unannounced Star Wars titles.
Whether or not it's impossible to get Frostbite 3 to work on Wii U, or if it is merely not beneficial enough to EA at this point, is to be debated. Perhaps if sales of Wii U pick up and the market gets larger, EA will be more inclined to try and get the engine working on the system.
For now though, it seems that many of EA's titles in the near future may not be heading Wii-ward.
