Mario Day: Launch Story #2
Posted 08 Oct 2002 at 11:32 by Tim Symons
I took the liberty of snapping up some pics of the locals buying the greatest game to ever grace this planet. Oh yes, the true sequel to Mario 64 has arrived!!
The nice guys in GAME didn't know this pic was taken, let's hope they don't find out it was me that took it! Mwahahaha! Here they are selling numerous copies of SMS, and soon to hand over my copy too. Nice fellas.
This was the first guy that agreed to have his photo taken, after the un-countable amount of people that put their hand over my lens and ran like scalded dogsfor shame. This guy looks happy he's got his copy of SMS though don't you think?
Here we have a cheeky blighter who was rather eccentric about finally having his grubby mitts on SMS and just wanted to run home and play it. He was nice enough to stop for one second so I could take his pic though. You might know him from the message boards, he's KoRnBizkit aka Paul Richards. Game on dude!
My next victim came in the form of this rather scary individual who insisted I put the caption "Finally, my life is complete!" under his pic. Like I said, a rather scary man, at least he's happy now with the warmth of SMS to keep him smiling.
Wooooo!! These two guys were next to come along and boy were they more than happy to have their pics taken! Rock on lads! And enjoy your copy of SMS.
Why, who's this?! IT'S-A-ME!! Hehe. Seeing everyone come and go with their copies, I couldn't wait any longer so I anxiously grabbed myself a copy. The scary guy mentioned above took the pic, funny it was also his idea for me to hide my face, hmmm. Too bad you can't see my whopping great smile! And I apologize for the hair, what can I say? I'm poor; I can't afford to get my hair cut!
So there you have it, my launch story and those of which I managed to capture on film. Much appreciated guys! And also a great shout out to the staff in GAME for not minding me taking pics in their store, now if you'll excuse me, Mario is awaiting me! Shine got!
