Thirty years after the very first Mario game, you will get the chance to be a creator of platforming worlds as Nintendo confirms a September release for Mario Maker on Wii U.

Mario Maker will let you design your own Mario stages from scratch, and bring them to life in a choice of four themes, from the 8-bit charms of the NES titles, to the modern look of New Super Mario Bros. U.

Also confirmed for this year is a surprise localisation. Nintendo will be bringing the next game in the Fatal Frame franchise to the west, following its release in Japan last year.

The fifth mainline title of the horror series, it really puts the spirit-capturing camera in the hands of the players, as you use the GamePad to investigate every aspect of the world and fend off nasty ghosts.

The game will be released sometime this year.
