While he may not look it, Mario has been hitting the tennis courts for over ten years and is due to return in Mario Tennis Aces which will release on the Nintendo Switch this spring.

The game will be typical of Nintendo's sports titles, offering a twist on the real world. Nintendo has promised "wrinkles in tennis gameplay" that will challenge your ability to read an opponent's position and stronke to determine which shot will give you the advantage.

For the first time since Mario Tennis on the Game Boy Advance a story mode will be featured and can be seen in the screenshots Nintendo has released.

With the console's 'built-in' dual controllers we have no doubt Mario Tennis Aces will be a popular multiplayer title when it releases later in the year.

Anyone that likes tennis gear will also be pleased to hear Nintendo made a point to mention that Mario will be wearing "classy tennis garb".
