Mass Effect 3 Wii U developer has more titles in the works

Wii U isn't even out of Nintendo's notoriously well-guarded doors yet, and one small developer has declared itself to be backing the system in a big way.

Straight Right - a fairly new studio based in Australia - was recently confirmed to be the outfit that is handling the Wii U version of Bioware's sci-fi epic Mass Effect 3. However, in an interview with Eurogamer, studio boss Tom Crago revealed that more Wii U titles are already in development.

One is an original IP, and the other is based on a "big" franchise that will release in 2013. The only other game Straight Right has developed thus far was last year's iOS version of Need For Speed: Shift 2.

"We've made a number of bets on Wii U", Crago added.

Crago simultaneously confirmed that Mass Effect 3 is still scheduled to release for Wii U on launch date, and that the Wii U version has been in development for well over a year.
