A tonne of screens arrive with some new titbits for Arc System Works' handheld fighter...

One of the nicest surprises in terms of 3DS announcements this year has been news that Arc System Works is bringing a version of the critically acclaimed BlazBlue: Continuum Shift to the handheld.

Andriasang brings the news that Continuum Shift II will largely mirror its console predecessor, but adds a handful of features including new scenarios for its story mode and a "Legion" mode that makes the jump from the previous PSP BlazBlue game.

Continuum Shift II will also include as playable characters Makoto, Valkenhayn, Platinum and Mu-Twelve, who we've been assured will be familiar to franchise veterans.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II is due for simultaneous release on 3DS and PSP in Japan on March 31st.
