Donkey Kong is as old as Mario himself as he was the first villain Mario faced. However over the years he has settled down and is now quite content as long as he has bananas. Retro Studio's update of the SNES classic Donkey Kong Country launches in Europe tomorrow and a new trailer has been released that showcases the monkey's evolution from antagonist to protagonist.

The trailer, which can be seen below, shows Donkey Kong's previous platforming games and gives an insight into Donkey Kong Country Returns. Eager gamers can also trade in bananas for Donkey Kong Country Returns tomorrow. The first 20 fans who turn up at either the Oxford Street or Merry Hill, Dudley, branches of Game at 9pm or the Hull branch of Gamestation at 8am will be able to trade in bananas for the game according to MCV.
