Dragon Quest's popularity baffles us. It's Japan's biggest selling videogame franchise (even ousting Final Fantasy and Pokemon), yet only a handful of titles have ever released in the west. Hopefully, we'll have better luck with Level 5 and Square Enix's latest of the RPG behemoth, Dragon Quest IX on Nintendo DS.

Dragon Quest IX will release in Japan next March.
