EA Sports serves up a video walkthrough of the upcoming Grand Slam Tennis...

Believe it or not, Grand Slam Tennis marks super-publisher EA's first forray into the tennis genre. That's not to say this is an amateur effort. On the contrary, Grand Slam Tennis is shaping up to offer players a robust tennis experienced unrivalled on Wii (will Virtua Tennis fans disagree?).

The EA Canada-developed sim will feature dozens of players (including John McEnroe!), game features, tournaments (Wimbledon is here) and a generous online experience powered by the streamlined EA Nation service. Not to mention that the entire control system has been built around Nintendo's flashy Wii MotionPlus device from day one.

Grand Slam Tennis producer Thomas Singleton was recently at a promotional event to give gamers a visual walkthrough of the levels of interaction the game can offer players.

Grand Slam Tennis ships in Europe on June 12th, and will be available as a bundle with Wii MotionPlus - exclusive to the region.
