Check the date on your computer, this is not an April Fool's. It appears that Baby Birdo will be a playable character in the game - the first time he/she/it has appeared in any Mario Kart title. Update: It appears that (thankfully) the Baby Birdo picture was a fake. Sorry to disappoint! :D
