Friday, 25th March 2007. The release of the Wii's first online multiplayer game in Europe. The perfect opportunity for Nintendo to put on a little show.

The chosen venue, the very same place Charles Martinet (the voice of Mario) announced the Wii launch details in Europe - GAME on Oxford Street in London England. This time the celebrity on hand, not a gaming figure, but a sporting figure. Ian Wright of Arsenal and England fame, who also appears in the TV adverts for the game in question.

N-Europe's Oliver Lambert aka Oil1983uk, his girlfriends brother Rob Trott (cameraman) and Chris Curtis (forum member "GingerChris" turned honorary Staffer for the day) went to cover the event. Unfortunately we were unable to secure an interview with Ian Wright, but we did get one with Nintendo's PR man at the event, Mr. Rob Saunders.
