Ever since SNK's ultra-violent, tough-as-nails shoot em'up first invaded arcades, it's been every masochist's dream to expose themselves to the uniquely painful Metal Slug experience. So fans rejoiced when news broke that the next sequel in the series, Metal Slug 7, would be heading exclusively for Nintendo DS.

So in typical Slug fashion, a hero is needed once again:

Interesting, to say the least. No word on a European release as of yet, but importers can grab their fill when the game blasts onto US shelves next month.
