Media: MySims Wii Screenshots

Some more pictures of EA's lovable MySims, now including a haunted house...

MySims is a cutesy cross between EA's The Sims series and Nintendo's own Animal Crossing. The game involves building your own Sims and buildings, as well as interacting (and trading things with) other Sims.

Gone is the Simolian (currency), instead you'll need Essences to build things for your house. These are gained by interacting with other Sims and completing tasks around town. You may even find Essences inside dark caves or be given them if you use your skills to impress other Sims.

The main part of the game will be building stuff for other people and restoring your town. Doing so will increase your star level, and more people will come to live in your town. There will be plenty of stereotypical characters, so it'll be easy to guess what item is best to give to the Game Geek or the Chef, for example. As your star level increases, you will be able to gain tools which in turn enable you to explore areas outside your town. By smashing rocks with a pickaxe, you can come across a desert area of the game. It is unknown just how many of these extra areas will be in the final product.
