Fifa '09 is getting in shape for the season ahead!

Sporting more new features than a robotic Chelsea squad, EA's FIFA '09 is offering Wii owners something very different indeed.

After a decent first outing for Wii, EA are going back to the drawing board for FIFA '09 and are taking a leaf out of the Pro Evo 2008 book. The 2009 installment in the old-as-time football series features more control schemes than any previous FIFA title and with a slick imitation of Konami's Pro Evo "drag-and-direct" controls, EA are trying to give every footy fan something to love in FIFA '09.

Whether it's the updated "Footi" modes (in which Mii's have a jolly kick about,) improvements 'on' the pitch or the vast control tweaks, FIFA '09 is certainly offering Wii gamers a slick alternative to the excellent PES 2008.

Furthermore, EA have revealed that the title will be hitting the shores of Blighty on October 3rd! Not too long to wait then.
