Media: Nintendo Channel Video Walkthrough

N-Europe goes for a spin with the recently-launched Nintendo Channel.

The Nintendo Channel was launched in the US today, bringing with it new demos, trailers, images, information, and endlessly high levels of hype. Europeans will have to wait it out until May 30th to get their eager paws on the new Wii Channel, but we've got a nice supply of screenshots and video courtesy of our Head of Media, Justin Marimon.

Click on Mr. Miyamoto's beautiful cranium to see all 20 of Justin's marvellous images.

The screenshots and video will act as a visual walkthrough for those poor souls who are still waiting to download the Channel (including the majority of N-Europe staff members). Allow the Justin-controlled Wii Pointer to guide you through the many uses of the Nintendo Channel, including downloading a DS demo, checking out some new game media, and viewing a photograph of the mighty Shigsy.

Right click and save as to download the high quality video guide (854x480, 95MB and 5 minutes in length).

Or if you're a bit impatient we've also got this handy Youtube stream for you (but if you want the video in it's best quality we suggest you download the above file).

You'll be able to see that DS demos are available for Brain Age 2, Flash Focus, Crosswords DS, Jam Sessions, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends, Disney Friends and Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword. The Nintendo Channel will be heaven for those of you who still regularly find time for some small, scribbly fun.

In other news, tucked away in the Channel is a release list for the US launch of WiiWare. Dr. Mario Online Rx, Lost Winds, Defend Your Castle, Critter Round-Up and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King have all been confirmed for launch, though many other developers have slated their games for a May 12th launch too. Perhaps we'll be seeing a larger flood come next week.

There's not too long to wait now, European readers. Hang in there!
