Nintendo lifts the curtain on this very Japanesey action title...

After initially announcing it rather quietly at the start of the year, Nintendo has released the first trailer for the Wii action game Pandora's Tower.

The game has been developed by Ganbarion, a third-party developer most notable for the very well-received Jump Super Stars on DS and the One Piece games on Wii. The story centres around the two main characters, 22-year old soldier Ende and 15-year old girl Ceres. Ceres becomes cursed after witnessing a mysterious beast, and when the army want to interrogate her, Ende helps her escape to an isolated tower.

The game takes place across 12 different towers with individual themes in a race against time to lift the curse from Ceres. You'll have to defeat the towers' beasts to tear off their flesh in order to lift the curse. The game has been described as having a "simple" control scheme.

Pandora's Tower has been given a Japanese release date of May 26th. Unsurprisingly, no word of a western release yet.
