Sonic and friends dash for glory in the latest gameplay trailer for the Wii version of Sonic Colours...

While Sonic 4 on WiiWare may be hogging much of the limelight, Sega are keen to remind us that Sonic Colours may also play a key part in the Blue Blur's return to form.

Available exclusively for Wii and DS later this year, Sonic Colours looks like a remarkably stripped-down 3D outing for the hedgehog compared to previous years (far from a bad thing). The new gameplay mechanic this time around is the Wisp creatures, who will grant Sonic new abilities such as extra boost or fireball power.

Sonic Colours officially releases on Wii and DS in Europe on November 12th, and four days later in North America.
