Hudson officially unveils its 2010 Wii horror title...
What with Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, Silent Hill, Ju-On and Dead Space Extraction all on the horizon, the horror scene on Wii is admittedly looking a little bare. Hudson Soft is addressing this, however, by bringing Calling to the system.
If you at any point in the duration of this article feel a queasy sense of deja vu, then that's because the game was half-unveiled back last October after information and footage ever-faithfully leaked onto the interwebs. Hudson have however waited until now to release an official western trailer for the title known as Calling.
From the looks of it, the game is a typically Japanese horror affair. The story revolves around a cursed Black Page Website that is known to inflict death upon a small few who visit it (those who see 'something' in the site). Calling sees our two protagonists struggle to survive the horror that hunts them after braving the cursed webpage.
Gameplay seems to take place entirely in a first-person perspective as your Wii Remote becomes the key to navigating your surroundings to ultimately escape the Calling. Your flashlight and cellphone will become your best friends as the fear encroaches around you.
Calling is due for a western release next year...
