ATLUS has revealed a fight first, ask second beat'em up for DS. Info? Screens? Trailer? We got'em all, head inside!

"What do you do when thugs and hoodlums put peace and freedom in jeopardy? YOU BEAT THEM DOWN!" At least that's what ATLUS press release for Tokyo Beat Down says. Bring peace to the streets of Tokyo in this side scrolling beat'em up by controlling 3 different characters with unique fighting styles: the Beast Cops!

Punch, kick, throw, use special moves, chain together combos and wield all kinds of weapons to make your way through the beat'em up and get the multiple endings.

ATLUS wants to deliver an old school beat'em up in more ways than one, not only does it sport a "Badass 70's cop show vibe" it's not afraid to admit its old school arcade origins. "Your enemies don't just die; they flicker into nonexistence. That's right, they flicker! Let the cool rush of nostalgia sweep over you like a river of sweet, sweet gaming refreshment."

Tokyo Beat Down is set for release in USA on March 10, 2009 costing $29.99. No dates for Europe were divulged, but we'll let you know if it comes up.
