Sega and Activision's virtual dog DS game has been given its first trailer, which we've fetched for you.

Back in February Sega and Activision announced a brand new DS game called Wappy Dog. The game will come bundled with a robotic dog that you can teach tricks and look after.

The title will be able to communicate with the dog itself and its barks can be "translated" by the console, easing communication between you and your beloved pet. Wappy Dog encourages you to play with, care for and teach your dog so that you form a close bond that will please both you and the dog. Speaking about the title David Oxford from Activision Publishing said:

"We were excited about Wappy Dog from the moment we saw it. This one-of-a-kind toy and video game combines a strong emotional bond and exciting virtual experience with the interaction of a physical pet. Wappy Dog is a truly innovative next generation toy and video game that gives kids an instant companion."

Wappy Dog is due out in time for Christmas and you can check the official website in the mean time, although we warn you to check your volume levels before you do.
