Media: Zelda Four Swords Trailer

A brand new trailer and some information about The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition.

Yesterday Nintendo of Europe announced that The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition would be released for free on the DSiWare service on September 28th. Following this some new information has come to the surface, as well as a new trailer, that proves it's more than just a port.

A single-player mode has been added to the game that will see a second Link accompany you, with the ability to switch between the two using L/R. Three new areas based on old Zelda titles have been added, making this a truly anniversary-focused edition. Areas based on Link's Awakening and A Link to the Past will be available to play in Four Swords Anniversary Edition.

A new area, known as 'Hero's Trial", will feature elements from other levels and the three new maps and upon completing it players will be rewarded with the Hurricane Spin move. Likewise if you complete the 'Realm of Memories' area, made up of locations from a variety of Zelda titles, you will unlock the Master Sword.

In addition to this players will be able to "whistle" for others using the X button and use the bottom screen to show your inventory and location. All of these add-ons and the game is still free! Be sure to download it when it is made available later this month.
