Midnight Evil is aiming to scare Switch owners later this year

Do you like First-Person Horror titles with an emphasis on plot? If so then Midnight Evil might be of interest to you when it releases in the third-quarter of 2019.

Draw Distance is publishing the game which is being developed by Impulse Game Studios and it's looking like it could well prove to be suitably scary in one form or another.

Check below for the details and a trailer...

It’s late at night while you’ve discovered a mysterious book that seems to have its own evil agenda. As you begin to read through it, you realize that you are not alone, the monsters are coming. The only way to free yourself from this fiendish nightmare is to keep reading and finish the book.

Midnight Evil is a story driven first person horror game where you take a role of William Crinkle, a child who is being attacked by goblin-like creatures known as Urklings, the beasts have a taste for the flesh of children. While spotting them in time can banish them for a while they can only be defeated by reading the text of the book that binds them.

Can you survive the night?

Features:

  • A familiar Sit-And-Survive play style!
  • A full spooky narrative about ancient beings!
  • Fully voice acted!
  • Unlockable minigames
  • Charming cheesy 80’s horror environment and comedic relief!

Does this seem like the kind of Horror title you might be interested in with its comedic relief and 80's themed environment? Or are you more likely to stick with Resident Evil or even Outlast for potential scares?
