Miiverse getting a redesign this summer

An update set to arrive this summer will see the Miiverse platform get a redesign, altering some of its features.

The gaming-specific social media platform - which is available on Wii U, 3DS, and on the web - lets you post screenshots and comments about games as you play them. There seems to three main changes in the upcoming redesign.

Firstly, the default post that you make during a game will be classed as a Play Journal entry, and will automatically post a screenshot of the game you're on. This effectively replaces each user's Activity Feed, and you'll no longer be able make posts to your own feed if you're not playing a game.

Secondly, there is a clearer distinction between the three different types of posts you can make. Normal posts about games are Play Journal entries, any handwritten posts are assigned the Drawings tag, and any questions you have or discussions you want to start about a game have a Discussions tag.

Thirdly, everyone will be able to create their own album of screenshots. Your screenshot album will be private and viewable only by yourself, and has a maximum size of 100 screenshots.
