Prepare some weapons, clad yourself in Diamond armour and prepare for battle as the (relatively) peaceful world of MineCraft is about to go into overdrive as battles arrive on June 21st.

Coming as a free update, these online battles will pit 8 foes against each other for a fight to the death. In a similar vein to Mario Kart 64’s bomb on wheels in battle mode, if you die early on you can come back as a bat to terrorise those that wronged you.
