Monolith Soft teases new concept art - possible 3DS game?

Nintendo-owned Japanese developer Monolith Soft has hit the headlines once again after re-igniting speculation about an in-development 3DS game.
The studio has recently updated its Facebook page advertising for new recruits, and included in the post a never-before-seen piece of concept art. The art does not appear related to any known Nintendo title currently in development. See it for yourself below.
It had previously been understood that Monolith had at least two games internally in production - a Wii U title and a 3DS title. Its Wii U title - still being colloquially called 'X' - was spectacularly revealed in a surprise Nintendo Direct last month.
This art seems to be unrelated to that project, leading some to state there is a good chance it is from the studio's mysterious 3DS title.
Monolith Soft has a rich history of creating top-quality RPGs for Nintendo systems though, having produced the fan-favourite Baten Kaitos games on Gamecube and the unparallelled Xenoblade on Wii.
More recently, Monolith collaborated with Banpresto on Namco Bandai's 3DS SRPG Project X Zone, which is due to release in Europe this summer.
