Monster Hunter 4 Shown off at TGS 2012 and dated for Japan

TGS 2012 is underway in the homeland of video games and Capcom have wasted no time in showing off Monster Hunter 4 to a salivating Japanese crowd. The title was given a release of March 2013 in Japan on the 3DS however no mention as yet of whether there will be an acompanying WiiU version in the works as was announced with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate last week. Unfortunately there was also no mention of a western release of Monster Hunter 4 but as we only just had confirmation of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate a week ago which itself is due for European release in March 2013 also; Capcom will likely be wanting to space out the release of a western version of Monster Hunter 4.

Online play on the Nintendo 3DS has also been confirmed which would be the first for a Monster Hunter handheld game and it is the addition of this feature which may see Monster Hunter 4 stay on the 3DS alone.

Stay tuned to N-Europe for if and hopefully when Capcom bring word of a western unleashing of 4. Untill then enjoy the below trailer for some glimpses of some new monsters, armour and weapon types; and we've also got a 20 minute long gameplay video if you have the extra time.
